Mirza Fakrul Islam Alamgir, the BNP candidate with the paddy sheaf symbol for Thakurgaon-1 constituency and the party’s Secretary General, said that a political party is trying to mislead the common people in the name of religion. They are saying, “If you vote on the scale, will you go to heaven, Naujubillah. Can anyone go to heaven if you vote on a specific scale? If you vote for this Jamaat on the scale, our faith will be destroyed.”

He said these things at a road meeting organized at Bhagdgazi Bazar in Jamalpur Union of Thakurgaon-1 constituency on Monday (February 9) afternoon.

Mirza Fakhrul said that the country’s renowned scholars have also rejected these propaganda. He mentioned that Babunagri Sahib said that voting for Jamaat-e-Islami is not permissible and the Pir of Charmonai has termed Jamaat-e-Islami as the biggest lying party in the world.

He said that in the last 15 years, this country has become a ruin. The development of a place depends on the income of the people of that place. Therefore, the income source must be increased. We have made such a plan.

On February 12, we will vote on the paddy husks to commemorate the great revolution of 1971. He urged Tarique Rahman to be made the Prime Minister for the development of the country and restoration of democracy by embodying the spirit of the Liberation War.

Mirza Alamgir said, I want to do some work for Thakurgaon through your vote. If we are elected, we will provide jobs to 1 crore unemployed people within the first one and a half years. Family cards will be issued to 50 lakh mothers. Agricultural cards will be issued to farmers through which they will get fertilizer, seeds and water at fair prices.

District BNP General Secretary Poygam Ali and other leaders and workers were present at this election rally.
